At vinyl mine, we want you to love your gear and your music. If something isn't quite right, we are here to help you sort it out. Please read our policy below to see how we handle returns, exchanges, and refunds.

1. Return Window

  • 30-Day Policy: You have 30 days from the date your order was delivered to initiate a return or exchange.

  • Statutory Right to Cancel: Under UK law, you have a statutory right to change your mind and cancel your online order for a full refund within 14 days of receiving your items. We extend this peace of mind to a full 30 days for returns or exchanges.

2. Condition of Items

To be eligible for a refund or exchange, items must be returned in the exact condition you received them:

  • Clothing: Unworn, unwashed, undamaged, and free of any odors, stains, pet hair, or makeup marks. All original tags must remain intact.

  • Vinyl Records: Must be unopened, factory-sealed, and unplayed. For hygiene and copyright protection reasons, we cannot accept returns on vinyl records if the original shrink-wrap or security seal has been broken or removed.

  • Note: We inspect all returned items upon arrival. Items that do not meet these criteria cannot be accepted for a standard change-of-mind refund.

3. Non-Returnable Items

The following items are considered final sale and cannot be returned or exchanged unless they arrive faulty or damaged:

  • Opened or unsealed vinyl records.

  • Items explicitly marked "Final Sale" on the product page.

  • Personalised or custom-made items.

  • Intimate apparel, swimwear, or socks (for hygiene reasons).

  • Digital gift cards.

4. Return Shipping Costs

  • Exchanges & Store Credit: If you choose to exchange your item for a different size/style, or opt for 100% store credit, return shipping is completely free.

  • Refund to Original Payment Method: If you prefer a refund back to your payment card or PayPal account, a flat return fee will be deducted from your total refund amount to cover return shipping and restocking:

    • £6 flat fee for returns containing 1 to 5 items.

    • £10 flat fee for returns containing more than 5 items.

  • Outbound Shipping: If you pay for standard outbound shipping when ordering, this will be fully refunded if you return the complete order within 14 days of cancellation, as required by UK law.

5. How to Initiate a Return or Exchange

We aim to make the process as seamless as possible:

  1. Email our team directly at we@vinylmine.shop.

  2. Provide your Order Number and your post/zip code.

  3. Name the item(s) you wish to return or exchange and state your reason. We will send you instructions on how to ship the items back to our Hebden Bridge shop.

6. Processing Time & Refunds

  • Once your return package arrives at our shop, please allow 5 to 7 business days for our team to inspect the items and process your request.

  • If approved, your refund will automatically be applied to your original method of payment.

  • Depending on your financial institution, it typically takes 3 to 10 business days for the credit to officially reflect on your bank or credit card statement.

7. Damaged, Defective, or Faulty Items

If your order arrives damaged, defective, or you received the wrong item entirely, we want to fix it immediately. Your consumer rights protect you against faulty or misdescribed goods under the UK Consumer Rights Act 2015.

  • Please contact our team at we@vinylmine.shop as soon as you spot the issue.

  • Include your order number and a clear photo of the damage or the faulty item.

  • For faulty goods, we will arrange a replacement or issue a 100% full refund (including any shipping costs) at absolutely no additional cost to you.
